Madonna's former manager Caresse Henry has died. Cause of death unknown at this time. RIP Caresse. xo

*update - Caresse had taken her own life.

News reports indicate that Caresse Henry has died of a reported suicide. The news of Caresse Henry shocks fans of the superstar singer as Henry was Madonna' manager from the late 1990's until 2005. Henry also had the role of personal assistant for the singer.

*update - CNN - A statement from Madonna's publicist and longtime friend Liz Rosenberg says Henry was 44. The Orange County Coroner's office says she died of a self-inflicted gunshot at her home in Irvine, Calif.

Survivors include her two children, a sister, a brother and her parents.

  2. Joe to hell > Hum....Not in memory, she wasn't very nice to the press and caused quite a stir between M and the media for being very naughty and somehow bitchy with them. And for having experienced it first hand i wouldn't say being sweet and kind could have been attribued to her. But RIP nonetheless.

  3. What happened? She was relatively young. I'm so sad to hear this. Even though she fell out with Madonna I only heard good things about her.

  4. Ummm....I don't have a clue what Pheel is talking about. Caresse was always a kind and sweet woman when I would talk to her, and hands down, was one of the best managers when it came to listening to Madonna fans and trying to give us something we're asking for (i.e. Blond Ambition on dvd). RIP Caresse.

  6. I think women like her and Liz her publicist are pathetic. I remember Liz saying in an interview something along the lines of "I spend more time with Madonna than I do with my husband and kids". Sure, she makes a ton of money but to have your whole life revolve around another person who isn't even your family I think is pathetic. For no reason would I like to be on her shoes, I'd rather be the center of my life and have no money than be somebody else's shadow.

Also, poor Caresse but goes to show you that success means nothing if inside you are a mess.

  9. Caresse was sweet and good to fans ( which is the most important anyway) but when "Ray of light" was released she had attitude problems with the press. The scene i describe was during the promotion of the album in France, i don't know if she was in a bad mood at the time but she was very rude to the journalists who came to the press junket. At the time i would hang out with a friend of mine, sophie who worked for Warner France and she told me that the record company started freaking out when they heard about a possible backlash so they did damage control though i remember one article reviewing the album started by talking about Caresse saying that she did not wear her name well (Caresse is french for caress). She did however make an 180° turn after that.
As for the way they parted many rumours have circulated but one thing that did not get mentionned was that they started having different point of views on how music should be distributed. Caresse wanted to have music sold at Starbuck's and other ideas that did not go well with Madonna.

  10. I think coping with a bitch like Madonna can lead you to death. Poor Caresse. She should have stayed away from her much sooner.
