Gambler

One of the greatest Madonna songs ever.

  1. Not one of her greatest, but definitely one that's underrated and overlooked. She needs to do a show of all the obscure songs from her career. that would be a blast! I'm still hopefule that she'll perform Rescue Me one day.

  2. t's ridiculously simple with hindsight, and the production is criminally bland. There is a reason Madonna doesn't sing it.

  5. Gambler was a magical song when I was growing up because I could never find it anywhere. I only had a 'cassette player' and it wasn't on any album. It just seemed so mysterious! I finally bought it on the La Isla Bonita Japanese CD single, before I even had a CD player! Even though I've played it to death since it still holds a big place in my heart. Would love to hear it in a club one day. Or playing in somebody's car ;-)

  6. PS. I remember being gutted when it wasn't on the Immaculate Collection. Maybe one day she'll perform it along side Over & Over and Physical Attraction. Now wouldn't that be magic?

  7. Well, to be fair, Madonna hasn't performed a lot of her huge hits live, including #1's like, 'This Used to be my Playground', etc.

Love, 'Gambler' and play it often! The sound quality is fantastic on my 40 CD Single Japan Box Set!! xoxoxo

  8. Love this song! Was surprised watching the video here -- this is edited slightly differently from the version I've always seen.

  9. Dontlookback, I relate to you completely!! I too got that La Isla bonita japanese CD to finally get a hold of the "mysterious" Gambler! I also found dissapointing it didn´t make the cut for The Immaculate. Ah, the memories...:)

  10. I loved Gambler. Still do. One of her hidden gems that can be resurrected and re worked for her next tour. I know a lot of people who love this song.
