She was good in that movie. From what I read she hated making it. Too much time in the sun playing baseball!
I wish she had done more comedic, supporting roles. I really think Madonna has great comedic timimg.And one thing that this movie has that none of her other movies has --- is her dancing! She should really have done more dancing on screen.
i actually can't stand the dancing sequence in the movie because it just turns into a madonna music video for five minutes. totally ruins the flow of the movie for me.
I love the jitterbug sequence! And she is hilarious in this movie. I love seeing her and Rosie together.

Madonna was indeed brilliant in this film. In my opinion she wasn't in it enough.
