Kurt Cobain on Madonna

  1. I was skimming through a book that was published called "Kurt Cobain's Journals." Although I think things like that are invasive, it was pretty fascinating. I was never a fan of Nirvana - I just didn't get into grunge music but while reading that book, he seemed to be a very smart man - he just made bad choices - but his writing and thought process and ideas - well, I was WOW'd!

  2. And what he had to say about his wife's rival pud?

  3. How ironic for Kurt Cobain to say Madonna was not into punk rock when she moved to New York in her early days when her first band was a garage rock band Breakfast Club & her own band Emmy. She was into the Sex Pistols & the punk rock look. He didn't know Madonna's history.

  4. Plus she always had a rebellious, subversive, anti-patriarchal spirit.

  5. He does know Madonna's history, Madonna wasn't into punk rock, Madonna was into anything that would help her get famous, when it was clear that punk rock was on its way out, she went with pop music in state and succeeded.

I loved that clip, sigh, the days when Madonna was relevant.

  7. let's wait when madonna releases her new album and then we can say if she's relevant or not. her previous album, hard candy, was in the top10 of the 2008 most successful albums and 4minutes became one madonna's biggest hits! celebration was a best of topping the uk album chart and the celebration single became a top3 hit! some people act like madonna hasn't a hit for a decade or over. pfff...

  8. If Madonna released an album tomorrow and didn't sell 1 copy, she would be relevant.

    Case closed. :)

  12. Ramona must not speak English as her native language.

What don't people get about my comment? Madonna would be relevant no matter what she did. Wether it sold zero copies or a million. That makes no sense?? Poor Ramona... 'sigh'

  13. madonna will always be relevant, but that's got nothing to do with quality of music. and well, quality is in the ear of the beholder, and HC was lame...

kurt was really something, and he's right.
