Molly Meldrum and Madonna

  1. 1993 was interesting because of the backlash. In spite of the publicity surrounding the tour and the odd interview, Madonna kind of disappeared. That's how it seemed to me anyway.

  2. It seems to me all this blacklash was initiated by music indutry's bosses to drop career of 2 megastars for that time - M and MJ (the scandal with him and children started around that time). Maybe they were too popular and took too much attention. It was the way to launch new "projects" like Britny, Christina and all that stuff that we have from mid 90th and which looks similiar. And these bosses used Sex as the main instrument for anti-PR. If people really didn't like book, they wouldn't buy it, but sales were fantastic. That's why I think it was well planned anti-M campaign, imo.
