ReplyDeleteThis video right here is what got me hooked after it was first played on Friday Night Videos for the first time. (Friday Night Videos was a show that played music videos. A must for someone who didn't have cable in the U.S.!) I taped it and played it over and over again the next day to get all the dance moves. Between the regular video and the remix video that was shown on other shows, I was able to do the whole 'Lucky Star' dance. I can still do it! I loved how it began and ended with her and the sunglasses in a pose that looked like the 'Madonna' album cover. It was a great tie-in!
ReplyDeleteI saw it for the first time around 1988-1989 and I thought "Who is it? Who's that girl?" I've heard something about Madonna, but I didn't know how she looked. And I couldn't say that I liked the video. I was hooked by Vogue.
