Wikipedia says Madonna was a pupil of Graham's in the 1970s and early 1980s. I always thought Graham was just a major influence on M's dance style... not her actual teacher. My God, this explains so much about M's discipline & theatricality.
I LOVED this period, so chilled and effortless, the just got out of bed hair so sexy, so confident, teamed with the elegant dress, perfection. The ONLY collagen lips I've seen that were SEXY. Seeing her with Martha Graham, so warmly relating, close and respectful of each other. Stunning page in her legend x
