At the time these came out, I hated them and i thought they were amateurish. But now I think they're good. I guess I'm always wanting glam whenever Madonna is in a picture. :)
i love this photoshoot! and what a cover! i love madonna whe she goes "underground" and "glam" as well. she knows how to play the game perfectly in any case!
reading this again 15 years later it not only shows how much she has evolved but also the music biz and society in general... back in those days it wasn´t very common to see gay stuff on tv/media... (just look at how amazed she was about the RHCP video)... it's also funny to see how she felt about electronic music just 2 years before ray of light (techno=death...WTF!)
I still have my issue that I brought that day.

"I envy the Hughes brothers. They make really cool movies. That's who I really envy - directors. People who make incredible movies.
I think what I'm doing I was meant to do..."
Keep on doin' what you're doin', Pud!
XOXOX
'Ray of Light' was not a techno album and not a fan of her look here. Nice article, though.
ReplyDeleteThe magazine and article scans are my favorite posts on this blog! I really appreciate the all the hard work you put into this fantastic blog...
ReplyDeleteLove the photos and laughed hard at the Courtney Love quote. Funny!!
ReplyDeleteWhere does it say she'd rather kill herself than be Mariah? Was that just exaggeration on the media's part?
ReplyDeleteWhen she was asked if she would just like to write silly pop songs like Mariah. The writer keep on bringing up Mariah.
