  1. Ugh, I hated all those shots of her in 2001 looking like a man. Anyone else think she was as miserable as sin during this time?

  3. i love all her eras. for me, she always was (and is) the only woman in the world, who can look sexy and feminine in a muscular body.

    you are delusional. She looks like a man and this is not sexy at all. This is actually replusive to look at. It's so sad that there are a million more pictures like this.

    @rl81

    I don't think she was miserable as sin but the complete opposite. I think she thought she was hot as shit around this time. She had a number one album and single. A new tour. New baby and a new husband. I'm sure she was feeling on top of the world and that she could get away with anything..even this manly look. Poor Guy Ritchie....

  5. She looks fierce here, amazing. Anyone who thinks Madonna only looks good feminine doesn't understand what she's about at all.

  6. @themadonnablog Maybe miserable is the wrong word... angry maybe?

  7. @themadonnablog: it's my personal opinion. i wasn't talking generally or objectively. i said "for me".

    @IvorCiccone: agree.

  8. DWT era loved it! Her muscular arms looked great, better than they do now imo. Madonna can even make veins look cool *lol*

  9. @rl81... totally agree! this entire era (WIFLFAG, DWT, Swept Away) she seemed angry, bitter & hard. you can see it in her expression. one thing i've always loved about M is how she smiles, even while being hounded by paparazzi... but not during this period... only frowns and scowls. And as for DWT.... it was so dark and ominous, not joyful or celebratory like most of her other tours.

    I agree. But, angry at what? Things were going well for her.

    The whole 'Music/Drowned World Tour' era was a bit macho. But then again it was another re-invention for her. I wish Madonna would swop stylist with Kylie! Now that is real pop star. Madonna is like the lesbian version of Kylie.

    @X-STaTIC PRO=CeSS sorry was hating on you love. It’s all good. I just hated this look. She looked like a drowned rat. Not glamorous at all. Thanks god for Confessions!

  11. @themadonnablog Are you for real? Kylie is the real pop star? LOL. Kylie's a freaking puppet. Mmmm, I guess if you like your popstars to be pretty, personality free, controversy clean bimbos with zero to say ... but it begs the question, why produce a Madonna blog?

    And whats wrong with lesbians? You are so far to the right of what Madonna stands for; it's like you love the glamour and fun, but the underlying message, her very spirit is lost on you, goes over your head, "love".

  12. totally agree wit ya IvorC.kylie is fine at what she does,but my god she is bland. @themadonnablog statement calling M "the lesbian version of kylie" is put out ther to rise M fans.its stupidly negative and i have a lesbian friend sarah, who has read this,and would like this comment explained.

  13. You guys are looking wayyyy to into the lesbian subject. What I meant was that Madonna is butch now, not saying all lesbians are, but she reminds me of a butch, macho version of Kylie sometimes. I like Kylie's stage shows..have you seen her latest one? And her costumes are always beautiful and fun.

    M's last tour was a cheap money making version of the Confessions Tour. Same stage, more or less, pathetic entrance..she used the same on on her pronotour....also same same songs as Confessions too! (Ray of Light, La Isla Bonita). Crappy costumes...her dancers even had better costumes than her (old skool section..wtf?)...And what the hell is with all the guitars? I wanna see Madonna dance and sing...well, you know the rest.

    For me, I wish madonna would go back to being glamourous as she was back in the early 90's. Loved her work with Steven M and Herb.

    Anyways, that's just me. I love M, but I also have my opinion. I made my blog for fun and to reminisce on a wonderful career. For everyone to enjoy.

  15. i agree with ant99. kylie is fine. just fine. not bad, but not unique. she is a pop singer and that's all. i never liked her as an artist to be honest. she makes me sleepy :)

  16. Woooaaah there with your dissing of Sticky & Sweet guys and gals, there was some red hot pure Madonna stuff there!
    I loved the simplicity of the black sheer outfit for Vogue and her dancing and vocals on Vogue, that was probably my favourite performance of that song EVER! (And the 90 VMAs a very close 2nd)
    The Spanish section, with Argenina IN Argentina??!!! That was priceless. And her vocals (and wardrobe) was beautiful!
    And the 80s Haring club stuff was PERFECT.
    And the hair! Old school Madonna blond(e).
    And @themadonnablog Hello, wasn't 'hung up' from the confessions tour more or less the same version as the one she did on her promo tour of 05/06? Big deal if Candy Shop was on s&s?
    And yea, I like Kyile too, have done since "better the devil", "what do i have to do" and "shocked" back in 90 / 91 when she 1st starting ripping off Madonna x

  17. kylies a nothing. madonna is fabulous. strong muscled and FOREVER.

    EAT IT!

  18. i totally disagree about "kylies a nothing." i think she's a fantastic live performer, all positivity, light and sunshine. i wouldn't say one is "better than" the other as i love both of them and think they both have strengths and weaknesses when it comes to their careers.

    i've already got my tickets for kylie in may and i have no doubt it's going to be an amazing show.

  19. Madonna looks amazing in this picture. People who are out of shape love calling her body 'manly'. Love it! Also love the tan.

  20. 2001-2004 were her worst! This is why I always laugh at people who bitch about all the plastic surgery. Look, she would look a billion times worse with out it! The Guy Ritchie years were the most boring time to be a fan. Don't get me wrong, there were "moments" like "Hung Up" and shit, but for the most part Madonna was playing the whole Lady of the Manor bullshit, and it just got irritating. Madonna's actually behaving a bit more like she used to before the 2000s, and I actually prefer it. She's not taking herself too seriously, and has dropped the phony accent to boot!
