  1. How bizarre. One of the things I don't think she's does all that well: presenting awards. Too awkward.

  2. Everyone complains about her British accent that was just around the corner...It was positively charming compared to this old school Hollywood fake talk...Like Kathleen Turner on opiates. Oh, and Joan Rivers we love you, but get your paws off Madonna. You are obsessed.

  3. whats funny to me is that people think a woman who was dating/married to a brit for over 10 years 'faked' a british accent. lol.

like anyone from the US who married a brit and lived in england wouldnt pick up a slight accent.

    too funny!

  4. Can this really be 13 years ago? I remember at the time thinking her hair was a mess but she actually looks fabulous. Also love the Ellen/Anne Heche footage "See you there guys!"

  5. @Tony the only joke around here is you because it WAS a fake accent.

Now back to the topic, she was flawless that night, like a gothic Venus from Botticelli.

I hadn't realized it before but she really likes wearing black.

  6. @Ramon, go eat a pink taco.

The accent was not fake. Stop deluding yourself. The woman lived in London for over 10 YEARS. And was married to a BRITISH man.

    Gawd ur thick.

  7. Not as thick as you are. And she lived in London surrounded by americans, and how curious that Lola, who is a child, has no british accent yet Madonna, a middle age woman has one.

The truth is that the accent was fake and obvious, is what she needed with the Lady Dick in the English Manor schtick she had going on.

  8. just to jump in here for a second, at the time this video was taken, Madonna had not been living in England for 10 years. whether it's fake or not, who cares.

  11. @Ramon, I have never noticed Madonna with an accent in the first place, let alone 'faking' one. What would she gain by it?

    Again, common sense.
