I was there that night in Century City along with many others. Probably a few feet from her when this photo was taken. From the turn out of the crowd, and the electricity in the air, it was clear Madonna was creating something a bit more than the pop music video performer on MTV which had already been quite a sensation. It was like seeing a shooting star! An exciting time in general, and an unforgettable moment that night! It was better than the movie...lol...which is actually pretty good. What I remember most from that evening is her stepping out of the limousine and gliding through the people with a coy smile like "Isn't this fun?"
this is when Madonna officially stole the movie from Rosanna Arquette. :)
