  1. Easily one of her worst videos and she didn't even use a version of the song with the lyrics, just, 'for a giiiirl, in the worlllld' over and ove.

Awful on every level and unwatchable for me.

  4. the remix is fine for a remix, but for promoting a song, which videos are used for, they should include actual parts from the song, not just, 'for a giiiiiirl, in this wooooorld'.lol

same with the awful lu cont mix of Hollywood everyone loves. 'hollywood (WOOD!)' over and over. boring!

  5. Great video, great song, great remix. One of the last more cinematic videos of her unfortunately.

very cool move with this song.

  7. I liked it too. And the remix version of the song works for the content of the video. But I agree with Tony; it didn't really promote the actual song.

Pud, do you have any newspaper articles about the video being banned by MTV and VH1? If so, please post!

  9. Love the Drowned World Tour version of this song. This is video is one of M's experiments.

Pud, you've posted 2 articles about BAT with photos taken by Buster (Vogue and Express Yourself). Will it be continued?

  10. Um, no one else noticed? How did they mention swept away? Was the narrator a time traveler? How does he know about Swept Away? It wouldn't be filmed for 2 years.

  11. What it feels and swept away were both filmed in 2001.

that wasnt a great year for madonna fans as we got the awful what it feels like video, the terrible swept away film and the horrible drowned world tour...

  12. swept away was filmed in Sardinia and Malta from October 1, 2001 until November 9, 2001, and wasn't released until October 15, 2002. WIFLFAG was released in February 2001 8 months before they even started filming Swept Away. It still doesn't line up. (excuse my previous post, I estimated 2 years, but its a year and 8 months till the narrator would have been able to see Swept Away to make a comment on it here during filming of WIFLFAG.)

  13. tony is probably one of those fans who thought hard candy was a great album.....................

  14. I don't know what Tony is smoking! This video and Drowned World Tour are artistic masterpieces. I managed to write almost a full chapter of my dissertation on this video and her mises en scene of WIFLFAG at the Drowned World Tour.

  15. evrybdy is probably one of those fans who thought the Ray og Light video was 'brilliant'.

Hard Cady has some great songs, yes.

And the Drowned World Tour I saw live 3 times in Los Angels. It was shit. Way too dark for a pop star. Everyone left complaining so it certainly wasn't just me, just the Ray of Lighters who thought she was being 'avant garde'.

the WIFLFAG video is HORRIBLE. The song is a beautiful, lush piece of music and then you have this two worded remix with a horribly aged looking woman tasing people. It was boring! didnt go with the song at all.

Sorry, my opinion, don't like it? You can have Gaga.

  16. {getting up on soap box}

One of the things that makes this blog so entertaining is our differences of opinion. Considering everything she's done, it's going to be an incredibly hardcore fan who likes absolutley EVERYTHING. That certainly doesn't describe me. But we're all fans and should appreciate that in each other.

  17. thank you, JC! im a hardcore fan since 1984 and i dont have to 'love' or 'get' everything she has done.

putting down other people because they disagree, however, is not ok.

  18. i certainly don't like everything she does and don't expect others too either. i just think it's funny how we all hop on here and say what we like and what we don't like. it amuses me.

and it's likely that if you didn't like the depth and darkness of the DWT then you will prefer the frothy, soullesness that is HC. and seems i was correct.

    peace!

    *smashes soap box to pieces*

  19. you didnt smash anything to pieces. you dont have that much influence on anything or anyone. Lol.

And if you want soullessness, lack of warmth, feeling and emotion, the, 'Music' album would be perfect for you!

Let me guess, it was 'avant garde' to you? Lol x2

  20. and there was no depth in the DWT. it was shite and i saw it live 3 times. it was certainly better in person then the horrific, not gonna put any make up on or do my hair' version we got on DVD.

  21. WORST MADONNA VIDEO EVER! It is so Guy Ritchie influenced. I would bet Madonna doesn't even like it - she did it so Guy would think she was cool. He was uncomfortable with her being sexy. He was alwasy trying to "put her in her place" He's an ass and it shows in this video.
