I just can't get over the fact that the Rain video was hand painted, I mean the amount of painstaking effort it must've taken!! And mind you, this was film, not digital.
Does anyone know how much time it spent on post production? it must've been months.
Not sure Ramon. Guess it would depend on how many artists they had working on it. I too would like to know exactly how they did it. When I first saw Rain back in the day I didn't think it was so stellar. I thought it was pretty and colorful and fit the song well but it wasn't until years later when I learned that it was filmed in black and white and then colored by hand that I really saw another level of art in it. I wonder how/why they decided to go with that effect and whose idea it was.
FIRST THIS IS SOOOOOOO BEYONG FANTATSIC! This and Vogue remind me of the outakes and extras on Britneys Greatest Hits DVD, She has so much extra video footage that it made me like her as a video artist. I can't wait for a Madonna collection that includes alternate takes.
Madonna looks absolutely gorgeous in here! The final shot is so mesmerizing. It puts you in a trance. Just amazing!!!! This still remains one of the best videso she has ever made.
The La Isla Bonita clip at the end got me excited! Wonder what other videos this person has outtakes from!
