Don't Tell Me - Letterman - 2000

Madonna Arriving at Letterman

Madonna returned to David Letterman 6 years after The Infamous Fuck in 1994 in not only one of her most endearing interviews but also giving one of her most subdued live performances. A fan favorite.

  1. Don't nobody tell me this was 11 years ago! Jesus! Music, Internet, and the end of the 90s was a blast! I remember going to roseland and seeing her promo. She was adorable and she had a softness about her.
Still not sold on any of the western styling era!
I love this version of DTM.

  4. Thanks Pudd! I lost my tape of this in a move. Nice to see again. M looks so sweet and almost like a child learning something new. Although we all know she played guitar before learning proper like! :)

  5. I remember watching this the night before I flew to NYC and saw her (and met her) at Roseland Ballroom. Happy memories!

  6. I'd do anything forget this era. She committed personality suicide all for Guy Ritchie. Hate goody-goody Madonna. She lost her balls.

  9. She did such a gorgeous job with that song...just her...the guitar...and her voice. Very raw, very unrehearsed. It was a rather magical performance.

  10. Agreed with Cristian! When Madonna goes stripped-down and acoustic, she really starts to cry: Her Sad and Wet Tears Fall Down like Rain on Her Skin! Her guitar is as sad as they come! By the way, Don't Tell Me is a sad song! About sad ballads, Madonna is very good at that! Sadness is Her Forte!
