  1. This is not an itunes file! This is the same leaked file I posted on the web last week! This is not an officially released version. Anyone can upload a podcast for free on itunes and that's what this is.

Just dont want anyone thinking it's been officially released on itunes. :)

  2. Awaiting hate. I think this song is so/so at best. After reading some thoughts from other Scrapbook members, I expected another Live to Tell and it's just not. Pretty and all, but not up to par.

  3. The song is fantastic! Easily among her best ballads as far as vocals and lyrics go. The production could be a bit 'cleaner' but it's still great!

  4. Love it, simple and lush, classic Madonna!

  5. This is not 'classic Madonna', this song is mediocre and nothing close to "Live to Tell" or her other outstanding ballads. Madonna's fans are so hungry for new material that they deem everything great, when it's not.

  7. I agree with Nina too, this is unfortunately Madonna worst ballad.

  8. hey pud, this is not the final version, right?!
I mean you saw the movie & heard the song..
though it's already great like it is.

all you ninas, pedros & srejvanis, comparing this song to "live to tell" is just bull***t.

it's so lovely to hear her sing this the way she does - sensitive, kind of vulnerable but also taking it straight - pure MADONNA - just gorgeous!

  9. Pud, you're the one who needs to get plowed, always so defensive when you don't hear what u want to hear. Get some PERSPECTIVE. As for the song, this is after all just the demo, hopefully the final version will be much better, have a more original drum patterns, etc. I'm a Madonna's fan, but not one who thinks EVERYTHING she puts out, or leaks, is great. Lately a lot of mediocre stuff have been released or have leaked, and fans say it's great just cause they're hungry for new material from her.

  10. lol, sorry sweet cheeks, but Masterpiece is up there with her best. Sorry!

And you think One More Chance is a better ballad then this?? LOL

    Enough said.

Except AGAIN: THIS IS THE FUCKING FINAL VERSION. THE SAME VERSION PLAYED AT THE END CREDITS OF THE WE MOVIE!!!!!

The clip of the 'orchestral' version, IS THE DEMO AND NOT MUCH DIFFERENT SO MOVE ON IF YOU DONT LIKE THE SONG!!!!!!!!

  11. Let me settle this by saying Love Tried To Welcome Me is her most superior ballad ever. A shame it wasn't released as a single and video to the masses. It could have really shifted public opinion of her IMO. I like this new song. It seems to fit well with the theme of the movie it was written for and the lyrics are thoughtful. That said I am ready and waiting to see the movie and to see her next album/tour/promo performance extravaganza.

  12. @lager - I agree that Loved Tried to Welcome Me' would have been great as a single. Probably wouldn't have done well chartwise, but that doesn't matter. I bet we would have gotten a great video. Same for, 'Forbidden Love'. That should have been a single as well.

And 'Take a Bow' did shift what the public thought of her. Worked brilliantly and also got her the role in Evita.

  13. I dont hate the song, i quite like it but I agree it's not Great. It hasn't got that special touch about it. I think what works for it is that it's really a return to her old formula of song writing. The problem with it is it sounds like she just did it by numbers, just standard Madonna ballad song writing 101 and not much else.

  14. Tony, the Take A Bow video was great and the song written seemingly for the top 10 but I just remember being in the car listening to the Bedtime Stories record and hearing Take A Bow and thinking how it didn't seem to fit on the record. Sort of like Vogue on I'm Breathless. Just seemed like a hit song tacked onto the end so the album would sell.

  15. this song reminds me of Time Stood Still.

  16. lager the only songs that didn't fit on bedtime stories were bedtime story and sanctuary (2 of my favoutire madonna songs). but these two songs give the explanation about the ray of light sound!
oh and I LOVE MASTERPIECE :)

  17. XTATIC. I can see your point. I loved Sanctuary. I guess for me the album had this sort of hip-hop blues vibe throughout it and then Take a Bow was there hanging on the end seemingly unrelated in sound and concept.
