  1. so many people posting exclusive news on M. But nobody knows why exactly she'd never release this on dvd and bluray.

    1. Actually, the reason lies within Pioneer Inc. They hold the EXCLUSIVE rights to the release of Blond Ambition World Tour on any format.
Pepsi was set to be the tour sponsor when the whole Like A Prayer video thing happened. They dropped Madonna's sponsorship faster than a hot potato and Pioneer then stepped in as sponsor. After the tour, Pioneer released BAT japan on Laserdisc and this has been the one and only official release. These types of deals generally have 20-30 year caps on them, so after that time, she would be free to release what she wants to.

    2. Actually the BAT Japan laserdisc was only released in Japan, Pioneer released worldwide this show previously seen on HBO and filmed in Nice, France. The laserdisc was called "Live! – Blond Ambition World Tour 90" and Madonna won her first Grammy Award for Best Long Form Music Video.

    3. Ohhhh, that clears that up. About 3 years ago, I downloaded a torrent for BAT, and when I burned the files to disc I was quite surprised with the result. I had the last show from Nice, in 2 different stereo selections, along with full DVD menus that had the tourbook and 2 other special features. perhaps this was the Laserdisc that Pioneer released outside of Japan??

  2. Because it has so many bad performances? Don't get me wrong, it has a few IMMENSE performance, but I still would love to have it on DVD or blu-ray if it was shot on film (Paris was).

  3. This is the show that started it all for me. 22 years ago. I was 10 and begged my mother to let me stay up late on a school night to watch it. I fell in love for the very first time.

  5. Hey Pud, Thank You for Posting BAT! I've seen various glimpses of the tour and Madonna was well on her way to Lady status. Her performance of Live to Tell stopped my heart. I Had an Epiphany and I Cried! Thank You Lady Madonna for your Rapturous Art! Peace, my Evita/W.E. Sister!

    2. Yup. Easily the best section along with the EY and KIT performances. The best of the tour!

  6. The whole "Religion" section is beyond compare. It is absolute brilliance and can never be reproduced by anyone. The highlight of the show by far!
