New #Madonna MDNA Preview: Falling Free

How do you love it?

Falling Free

Deep and pure, our hearts align
And then I’m free, I’m free of mind
When I let loose the need to know
Then we’re both free, we’re free to go

When I lose a certain claim
The tries to know and needs to blame
Whatever river runs aground
It turns my head and washes down

The face of god who stands above
Pouring over hope and love
That all of might and life and limb
Could turn again and love again

When I refuse the need to know
Then we’re both free to go
I’m falling free

  3. Great symbiosis of all of her different voices (i. e. pre-Evita, Evita, post-Evita). Love it! LOL!

  4. I've heard the 4 previous snippets, but i'm not going to listen to this. I've missed the old days when i was getting a new madonna record and i was listening to the new songs for the first time :)

    1. i know it's hard and god knows how difficult it is for me not to hear that snippet, especially after the beyond positive reviews.
but 12 days are not so many...i think i can wait..

    2. I'm with you! I've been holding out too! It's like I'm back in the closet not enjoying anything all over again! LOL My baby's gotta secret...

    3. but you're only hearing snippets. The song after one minute can go in a completely other direction. This is the only albums can sell, I guess.

    4. I guess...but still i want to feel like I did when I got the Like a Prayer, I'm Breathless, Erotica, Ray of Light and Music albums.

    5. I agree with youthinkyourecute.

At least for me, the snippets are creating excitement around the release---not killing it. It's only one minute (actually less) and it def leaves you wanting more. And as more snippets come out, you begin putting together this very complex puzzle---knowing very well that as much as you try to piece it together, you're only getting a third of the album's length. So much more could and can change then.

Not trying to sway you here, just letting you know there's a positive side to enjoying these little droplets before the rain :)

    6. Those days of anticipating for an album are over. As fan of music, its better this way. How many times have we all patiently waited for a CD to come out, and the whole album sucked.

    7. I'm still holding out too. I want to hear the entire CD at once. But I do like how the album anticipation is building and everyone is enjoying the snippets. Personally, it's not for me, and I'm ok with that. I love to read everyone's reactions. Even my best friend who is a huge Madonna-freak respects my decision.

  5. My cousin told me awhile ago that Madonna really knows how to sing a ballad and till this day she is CORRECT. Madonna the balladeer! I love it. M.D.N.A. is full Madonna surprises each track is gem and each song is so vastly different. WOW! this is a new POP recipe of albums. You wait and see.

  6. I'm PROUD of this woman. And I'm grateful to have been alive to follow her all these years. The day she's gone... Sounds ridiculous, but it's really gonna take a toll on me.

  7. OH WOW...I put my headphones in to listen, and WOW, THAT UNMISTAKEABLE voice filling my head. I love this. When i first heard her singing 'masterpiece', i felt like crying..because i hadn't heard her sing in a while..and then it was like...she's back!! Just a feeling of pure joy!! 'THAT'S MY GIRL'!!!!! <3

  9. this lyric of her's stuck like tattoo. Such sadness in it. Lyrically, the greatest from our savior, "M".

    1. I'm now convinced that she is very deliberate letting her lyrics be "dumb" for her dancey songs. Otherwise, why would she not work with Joe Frances and Jean-Baptiste for the whole album? They've produced, it seems like, her two most memorable and original soundbites yet: "Falling Free" and "Love Spent".

  10. It sounds fantastic!

And thankfully, nothing like, Mer Girl, which was an odd song most fans seemed to think this song would sound like.

Unlike, Mer Girl, this is a song. Has a melody, isn't void of emotion and is just all around beautiful.

Waiting for Madonna's cover of, 'The Mummer's Dance'!

    1. the fact that you can't appreciate mer girl for what it is offends me.

    2. Mer Girl is divine. Madonna has never been so raw and personal.

    3. Calling Mer Girl a song is like calling Act of Contrition a song.

I just don't like it. No biggie.
