What is occultish about it? It's the same glyph she used in the Super Bowl. I guess there's gonna be some more egyptian stuff on this one. I have to say though I love the triangular stage with the pit in the center. So much more audience interaction and intimacy. I look forward to this tour.
I dont know if it's Occult as such, but there were definitely high on Freemason/Illuminati symbolism through out the SuperBowl staging and costumes...more Freemason but with the combination of the 'Egyptian symbolism' including the M glyph as well, this tends to be a trait of the Illuminati.
It really comes down to intent or interpretation, as to whether it is anything occultish...but with lack of information on her part as to what her intent is, it's then left wide open for interpretation to go either way.
Agreed. It is designed to be thought provoking. If you look at the bottom border along the back of the stage you see a stripe of hieroglyphs. I'm thinking another Super Bowl-esque performance. I did love the Liz Taylor references to it. I thought that was classic. I don't think many people got that. She even wore Liz's diamond earrings that she bought at auction after Liz passed.
Only people who are in the pit can see that effect. The LCD screens in today's concerts help illuminate the stage and performer so people can see the effect of the stage from a distance.
I wish I could have gone to a show. She's not playing anywhere that is reasonably near me. I'll have to experience this tour vicariously through the rest of you. I hope (and suspect) it will be a good one. The Sticky and Sweet tour was absolutely unentertaining to me. I didn't like the styling, the set list, the stage, the visuals, none of it.

If Madonna didn't have any symbolism in her show fans would bitch that her show is too mainstream. If she had religious symbolism, they'd slag off the Kaballah. If she uses occult imagery, she's somehow pissing someone else off.
Imagery is fine and perfect for a Madonna show, but Illuminati is NOT REAL in this day and age. That is all I am saying. I seriously doubt Madonna believes in or is a part of an imaginary cult. So let her show her religious imagery. THAT she believes in.
JEJEJE HASTA DONDE FUE A PARAR EL ESCENARIO QUE HICE EN PHOTOSHOP, QUE BUENO QUE PUSE MI NOMBRE DEBAJO DE LA M, SALUDOS A TODOS Y GRACIAS!!! ------------------------------------------------------ JEJEJE TO THE STAGE WAS A STOP IN PHOTOSHOP I DID THAT GOOD I PUT MY NAME UNDER THE M, GREETINGS TO ALL AND THANK YOU!
those reinvention pits to the left and right seemed like such an exploitation of space and fans' money. cool, so you got to see the pores in her skin - but how was the sound and the view of the stage from that angle I wonder? does anyone have any personal accounts?
The occult stuff is getting a little eye rolling...

DeleteSo nice! I saw some lady gaga's concert video from Korea. the stage is so plain. If you're far away you can't see anything.
ReplyDeleteplain? hardly. it's an electric chapel/castle and I've never seen anything like it in a tour.

Deletewhat are you on about? there is a large screen in her show too: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fHhwyYDmbG8
DeleteWhere is this from? Looks like a rendering. The lines do not extend on the catwalk right.
ReplyDeleteI thought the same thing. Probably just a mock up. All those "people" in the crowd aren't real either.

Looks great! Lose the fucking illuminati shit. It's an urban legend garnered by an old cult of society who wanted to learn.
ReplyDeleteNow can I get my pit tickets?!

ReplyDeleteBring on the imagery, obscure or occult!

DeleteIt's not the actual stage, just a fan's creation. Maybe it will look similar, maybe not.
ReplyDeleteBring on the symbolism! The MDNA Tour will be Amazing and Incredible! Madonna Rocks Hard!

the question is who will have access to pits? i mean except some people from contests...anyone knows how did this worked out in re-invention tour?

DeleteUh, money? The pit tickets were given away for FREE buy Guy O and local radio station giveaways.
DeleteKeep up, this isn't a Lady Gaga blog!
