#Madonna #MDNAtour Rehearsal Videos: Gang Bang & Express Yourself with @LadyGaga's Born This Way

These obviously aren't the greatest quality but who cares?!  It's something.  And I love every second of it.  Someone recorded the screens from a parking lot 8,000 miles away but it's fabulous!  Here's Gang Bang.

And, as I'm sure you've heard by now, Madonna does a rendition of Express Yourself with Lady Gaga's Born This Way with some She's Not Me. Bring It!!!  Evidently there is a Monster Meltdown happening.

  1. Ha! oh, ramon. i always wonder if you had truly lived through Elizabeth Taylor and her myriad of bad films and ventures into the soap opera General Hospital, if you would have been so supportive. xo

  2. The most insulting thing about this whole Born This Way business is that Madonna is actually PAYING GAGA to use Born This Way. She's asked PERMISSION OF GAGA to use her song.

She is DEAD TO ME. Queen of Pop? She's over.

    1. Educate yourself, honey. Madonna is NOT paying Lady gaga to sing a few lines of the song.

Only if she SELLS the music (on DVD or CD) Gaga will receive royalties.

You don't know a lot about the music industry, huh?

  3. As a matter of fact I would! General Hospital was good camp. This Born This Way thing is a travesty. Absolute travesty. Madonna PAYING Lady Gaga to use her song on her tour? Please. There is no defending this. This is beyond embarassing.

  4. I have paid 600 dollars to go and see the MDNA Tour in México and I had no idea I was actually paying to see a Lady Gaga tribute show. It would be hilarious if it weren't SO FUCKING TRAGIC.

    1. Stop OVERREACTING.

If you TRULY don't want to see what you call "Lady Gaga Tribute", YOU CAN EASILY SELL YOUR TICKET.

Complaining non-stop about how "over" Madonna is, how you spent U$600, bla bla bla... SHUT THE FUCK UP AND SELL YOUR TICKETS.

But no, like I said before, I KNOW you're NOT gonna sell your ticket. You will be complaining for the rest of the year... DRAMA QUEEN...

  5. You don't need permission to perform a song live as far as I'm aware - you need it if you record it. And anyways, it CLEARLY doesn't sound like a tribute - it's more of a "yeah, you can rip me off but you'll never be me" statement - the "she's not me" bit at the end is an obvious indication of that.

    1. if she wants to include the born this way sample on her DVD or broadcast it, she will have to pay gags.

    2. I don't know where m gets off dissing the similarities between the two songs when she borrowed from 'Respect Yourself' by The Staples Singers in the first place... but it's not pop so ignorant fans excuse it. having said that it seems like a cool element to the set list. bound to get a few headlines.

    3. Um she did not copy Respect Yourself.

    4. lol@gaga fans grasping for straws by bringing, 'Respect yourself' into this.

Express Yourself was made decades after, 'Respect Yourself', 'Born This Way' was done when Madonna is still hitting #1 everywhere with her albums and selling out tours.

Big difference that little dumpsters are blind to see...

tony, are you maybe about 10% retarded or something? who cares when it was made. the debate is authenticity.

      ignorant fans - what'd i say folks?

    6. I listened to it and their are no similarities what so ever.. What cause she says respect yourself? Stop reaching.. thanks... Why don't you go ask paws down..

  6. ramon, screw your head on - i said 'lived through it'. everything is fabulous in retrospect. even e.taylors worst films.

  7. Pud, I'd like to think I'm smarter than that and that I can see things in the present and understand why they are happening and how they will be viewed in the future. Everyone thought that making perfumes would cheapen Liz, it didn't. I'm sure that I would've supported her because it was a smart thing to do on her part. Just like her films, yes they were bad but she was being groundbreaking. Do you think that someone like Halle Berry could've won an Oscar if it weren't because of Liz making movies like Identikit where she gets her head shoved into a guys crotch and gets almost raped? Of course Halle Berry got up and thanked black actresses who played nothing but MAMMY as precursors to her Oscar like the FOOL that she is, but in reality ALL ACTRESSES today can do what they do because of Elizabeth Taylor and her bad films.

I remember when I saw her burp in Secret Ceremony in 2002, I was SHOCKED but I didn't stop liking her because it's not that bad.

I knew for instance that censoring the American Life video was a bad idea in 2003 and in retrospect it's still a bad idea. I knew it was a mistake for Madonna to not promote MDNA, I could SEE the headlines months ago from a mile away "madonna failure", "mdna flopped" and they are not lying!!!

This will not benefit Madonna, I don't need hindsight to know that she will go down in history as A PETTY FOOL for doing this, she is putting gaga up and bringing herself down, this "diss" on Gaga will do nothing but hurt her.

This will not go down well, you should be trying to get Madonna and Guy Oseary to stop it!!! You have CLOUT amongst the fans, this is a travesty and I stand by it. I know this will only hurt Madonna and this is going to look bad. It looks bad NOW and it will look bad forever if this goes live.

This is the worst possible thing that Madonna could ever do.

  10. Madonna is entitled to do whatever she's doing now. She is using HER tour to put an end to lady copycat's attempts to BE HER.
I totally agree with her use of those songs. It's very Madonna. Very sardonic.
The morons and naysayers can just eat her dust!

  12. After three years of this unbearable wannabee trying to be Madonna, as a fan, I feel vindicated. Kudos to Madonna!

    1. Amen.

The worst part is the media and general public thinking Lady Gaga is original or fresh. She is boring!

Not even nice to look at. She can't dance, she can't sing, what does she do? Don't drink, don't smoke!! lol

Anyways, she is obviously talented in the tori Amos type of way, but she certainly doesn't belong in this mainstream pop world she has wiggled her way into.

She is not a star. Just terrible.

    2. ramon H you have a soap opera complex and should seek out professional help! its entertainment and you should thank madonna for making you actually feel something. I hope you put as much passion into your every day life as you do on a blog. somehow i doubt it. I'll calm you down since youre so worried about buying music . You can cover songs live and not buy the rights thats how bars/discos and radio stations can play them they pay into socan which is a music distributer. So rest assured Madonna payed no money you can go back to your boring life now. #you sound so depressed

  17. Express What Right Track Born Yourself?
    Hey hey!

Well, I liked it. Cocky shading at its finest, all Gaga can do is shout "Kill the bitch"?

    1. I imagine it's just a symbolic way to express how the public has pitted them against one another. They pay homage to one another. The whole 'reductive' thing wasn't aimed at Lady GaGa in my opinion. Madonna doesn't have time for that shit. It was aimed at how the public reacted to the comparison. There's always different ways to perceive things. The "She's Not Me" thing at the end is for the die hard fans to feed on.

  21. Ramon, you need to educate yourself, honey.

Madonna does not have to pay Lady Reductive to perform the song live.

If she releases the footage OFFICIALLY on DVD or the audio on a CD, then yes. But not for singing a few lines on her show.

You like drama, huh? Madonna won't be "remembered" as "petty" because of this. You know why? Because it's just a publicity stunt (and I dare say most people here will agree with me):

You see, this UNOFFICIAL FOOTAGE filmed from outside the stadium Madonna is rehearsing at, has already gained more headlines than Lady Gaga's OFFICIAL opening night in Seoul. See how it works?

I know the media will give a negative twist to it, but they do it all the time when it comes to Madonna:

    - The Huffington Post wrote about the Golden Globes as if Madonna had provoked Elton John.

    - Remember the interview in which Madonna states the COMPARISONS between her song and lady Copycat's felt "REDUCTIVE"? She said Lady Gaga was talented there too. The media "forgot" about it and focused on what they could turn into negative.

They have always done it. So stop pretending you you're actually worried about it. It seems you always have an excuse to "hate" on Madonna.

Also, I doubt Madonna would ever pay Lady Gaga for the rights in using the song in the future for her DVD. They could have made a deal, as Madonna could easily sue her for intellectual property infringement for its melodic structure and chord progression.

Love Liz Taylor's batch of bad decisions.
