Very Rare Madonna Shots by Richard Corman

These wonderful 1983 shots of #Madonna are by Richard Corman.  I remember reading an article by Richard Corman about these shots that originally appeared in an Italian magazine, I believe.  Madonna did not like them, I think she may have cried when she saw them, she was disappointed in the results.  Anyway, I think they're fabulous.  A big thanks to Tine and Silvio for sending.  xo

    1. steven..... i used to love smash hits magazine, it was my Madonna bible, These pictures are amazing and i've never ever seen them before,
I wonder if there is any music she and sire recorded from those early early years through to like a prayer that we've never heard of, Or ever will....
That shit "lies in your eyes" and that dire "Dance" are so obviously NOT Madonna singing those songs, Warners really need to put together a box set and a big book with all these wonderful never before seen snaps,

  5. Looks like the same month as the Burning Up video shoot.

I can see why she didn't like them. Very amateur-ish.

But they are still fabulous. Great to see pics from this era.

  7. I don't see why she didn't like them either! These are classic 80's poses, simple yes, but that's what makes them so great to me! No extra props or imitations or wigs. She's just being herself- an "awesome" pop singer with "awesome" style! Maybe at the time this photoshoot bored her, but looking back at these images now they are amazingly perfect!! O-M-G at the 2nd photo!!! LOVE♥ LOVE♥ LOVE♥

  8. Can't believe there are STILL unseen gems like these of M! She looks perfect. Especially the 3rd photo down. I always thought it was the supposed Bennetton shots that she hated so much that she pulled the sweaters over her face in some of the shots? Pudd??? Can you clear it up for me?

  9. This is the Madonna I first fell in love with in 1984. These pics are fantastic and she looks hot as fuck. I can't believe she didn't like the pics.

The cover is alone is very, 'Angel' single looking. Just so fresh and full of ambition.

I want these pics in Glossy Super HQ!!!

  12. Her Sadness is understanable! She is Crying. Yeah, I agree. The Rabbits at Warner need to put out a proper box set of Madonna's music. Part 1-Tell the Truth to Like a Prayer, Part 2-I'm Breathless (Dick Tracy/Blonde Ambition) to Music and Part 3-American Life to the MDNA Tour. A sequel to Something to Remember would also help because she just can't go on the Dance/Pop field forever. That aside, Madonna is still brilliant-expect her to do more ballads and straight-rock tunes. Madonna is now a heritage classic rock act because of the brilliance of her art. Madonna is a Natural!
    Rock On Madge!

  14. I've never even heard of "Tell The Truth" i thought maybe it was the original demo that "Live To Tell" came from, See where i'm coming from, i never like that Otto von werner (However you spell it) shit, and those old new york era songs never really rang my bell until last year, I like the "shine a light" EP and most of that "Pre Madonna" album stephen bray released, If You go on madonnadownloaded.com theres a whole list of unreleased songs you can download for free
