Speaking of "Ain't no big Deal". In 1986 I wrote a letter to Madonna's record company asking them to put "Ain't no big Deal" on the b-side of her next single. I had read about the song in some pop magazine of the time. Two singles later...it was the B side for True Blue. I'd love to think I had something to do with that but I kinda doubt it! Just a fun little Madonna story from me.
That pic that's on the back of the LP is probably my favorite Madonna picture of all-time. Her bone structure, her eyes. EVERYTHING. She looks hot as fuck.
I'd love to find a HQ copy of that pic and get it blown up into a poster and get it framed.
Start of something brilliant!
ReplyDeleteTrey: The Everything of Everything. The Only Reason I'm Still on Board.
DeleteThe ONLY reason? I find that hard to believe! :)
DeleteI'll take some Burning Up anyday anyway.
The First Album-Start of Something Brilliant! One of the best debut albums in Rock. The Madonna Age had begun! Classic!
ReplyDeleteThrow in Ain't No Big Deal while we're at it. Should have been the bonus track on the re-master!
ReplyDeletePhysical Attraction + Burning Up are among her best.
I've heard the main singles too much. Always good to listen to I Know It + Think Of Me.
