Madonna's 12th studio album title has been revealed: M.D.N.A.MDNA: Madonna + DNA.
MDNA: M(a)D(o)N(n)A
MDNA: Mitochondrial DNA can be regarded as the smallest chromosome, and was the first significant part of the human genome to be sequenced. In most species, including humans, mDNA is inherited solely from the mother.
The jury is out. Need time to get my head around it. Don't love it in the immediate way I did for Bedtime Stories or Confessions on a Dancefloor.

ReplyDeleteMDNA puts you in mind of DNA... (Mitochondrial DNA) which comes from the Mother and I believe was the first DNA to be sequenced. Like, she is our source music DNA, mother of POP!
And MDMA the base of ecstasy. I doubt that was coinsidence either. This ish is going to be DRUG like addictive e(or they are hoping it will be.) This is no Hard Candy childnre, this is the real deal.

beyond all the acronyms when I first saw the title I thought of the 2012 version of her 1983 eponymous debut! being on the new label and all.
