#Madonna Dedicates Song to Lady Gaga Last Night in Atlantic City

I'm going to dedicate this next song to Lady Gaga.  I do love her.  Imitation is the highest form of flattery.  And one day very soon we're going to be on stage together.  Just you wait.

  1. Love it! No interest in seeing them on stage together, though.

  2. Sweet olive branch from Madonna. I too have no interest in seeing them together. Let it will be.

  3. She is so determinated, she will probably succeed. As Courtney Love said in her days: the vampire is keen on sucking some fresh blood.

    1. Hilarious as Courtney was always so obviously jealous of Madonna and wanted so badly to be her. lol. Difference between Courtney and Lady Gaga is that Courtney is actually talented and had an ounce of sex appeal and a touch of humor.

  4. She is furious she is not making headlines as a trendsetter anymore. Not even that dreadful choice of using weapons or blood has shocked american audiences. Her show is pretty old, always old Hollywood, as she likes it (I like it too). And nobody cares she's making money on her shows and on that other terrible merchandise. She's sold out, but on the other hand cash is what she's been pushing for these years.

    1. Third Floor? You’re an idiot. As a Madonna fan I highly doubt she's furious at not "making headlines" ~ she herself has mentioned how happy she is right now in her life. Madonna is not concerned about how many magazine covers she’s on darling, but I can tell you this: In her heyday she didn't have to resort to putting on a meat dress to stir up attention. Sad tho, I really like Lady GaGa - I just keep wishing she would start her own trend and not live off other artist's creations... I will give GaGa some credit tho; she created her "little monsters" at a very good time in her career. The Media attention profiling teen bullying and the release of her song “Monster” made for a perfect fan base name. Unfortunately, some of those Monsters live up to their names…

    2. Is it necessary to insult me? Why do you take it so personally? Get a life.

    3. Well, I have to disagree with some of your statement. I was in Toronto last week for her 2 shows and all the media kept saying was how much she made on the European leg, how much she has sold in North America and that the show was packed. The merchandise is there for those who want to buy it, and they do so in spades. The cash flow is just commerce reaction to her extremely varied body of work.

    4. I meant that the most ferocious critics here in Europe blasted that the tour was in trouble and the shows were not sold out. If the press in Toronto aknowledged all the cash she's making, then good, as I said, she's going for the cash. That's part of what's she's looking for: money. She could put up any kind of show and still make a buck, if integralist fans are going to defend any crap she's doing and paying for it. That's Ok. What I say is that she used to be more respectful to fans, to have a responsability. I think it's not like this anymore. As the merchandise is concerned, I didn't intend the usual tour book and tee shirts and stuff like that that goes on sale during a show. I meant the perfume, the shoes, the Material Girl line, the Gym. I think that is disrespectful to fans, that's terrible, ugly. That's selling out CRAP in her name. I feel insulted when I see her in Russia to defend the Pussy Riots and then the same day she is seen all smiles to promote her gym in that same country. She still is the Material girl, after all.

    5. You sound like an idiot. How are Madonna's business ventures insulting to fans? No one is forcing anyone to buy her fragrances, shoes, clothes, or get a membership to her gyms. Madonna, like all celebs, is out to promote themselves, and their work. They have no obligation to do anything for fans. We all have free will to support them or not, but it's our decision. If you take any of her products as a personal insult, then you need to seriously get a life, and stop living vicariously through Madonna's. She doesn't know, or care about you.

    6. Thanx for the insults again. It was so more fun when Madonna fans were friendly and thoughtful. You have a little mind, you don't get the point, but that doesn't matter. Thank God for freedom of speech and free thinking. I'm only expressing myself. You wouldn't see life through my eyes, did I say something wrong? It's human nature.

    7. Thirdfloor - Thirdfloor ...Thirdfloor... oh no one would be insulting you sweetness if you didn't come onto a Madonna based fan site spuing insults. Michael is right, we have the right to buy (or not) whatever it is she decides to sell. I can tell you that (personally) I haven't purchased the perfume, the shoes or changed my gym membership. If I insulted you it's only because you don't sound very knowledgeable. Get your facts straight an there will be no reason to call you a loser, an idiot or a dickhead.

    8. Madonna is a popstar. She sold out from the first day.

What nincompoops keep finding this blog only to regurgitate what people have been saying since 1984?

Time to give it a rest. She isn't going anywhere and she hasn't changed lol

    9. Raga, just ignore me. You're in a better place without me. You're very knowledgeable, I'm not. Relax.

  5. I hate anything that connects Madonna to Lady Gaga ... especially when it comes from Madonna herself!

  6. I was at this concert! (I almost got kicked out for bringing my wide, long angled lens camera -LOL) I took lots of great shots, The concert was great, She AMAZED us all by adding in "Holiday" into the set (The very clean original version!) She sounded awesome! She poked fun at the audience (So? Are you ALL FROM ATLANTIC CITY? she said; prompting many people to shout out that most of them were from New York - including myself) Rocco danced his little 12 year old ass off (I agree with Pud, he is little Madonna circa 1986-87 with the short blond haircut) My only grip was that she appeared a little after 10:30, which closed the show a little after 1AM. Where was I going tho? It's not like I was winning on slots in the casino!
*LOVED* The set list, the SETS themselves, the dancers... I can go on fa days!
I think it was one of her best performances!

    1. ...and might I also add ~ I would LOVE to see Madonna and GaGa duet on something! Why not?! What really is the big deal?! you cannot compare Gag to Madonna... She has years and YEARS of performances to catch up to. I think it's a smart move for Gaga to consider Mo' as part of her own career move. Maybe us Madonna fans might like her a little bit more...jus' sayin'

    3. obsessed? because she finally called gaga out on her bullshit and downright copying of Madonna every chance that fugly walking nose gets? LOL. riggt.

Because gaga has what madonna wants: looks, the body, the dance moves...

  10. Madonna is just fucking with people. I just think she was being sarcastic. I certainly hope so.

    ReplyDelete
  11. I think it's funny that she is daring GaGa to compete on the same stage as her. M is definetly calling her out on it in public and I think it's hilarious!

  12. I think they get along fine. They are just playing the media. Otherwise gaga would have never allowed born this way to be performed at the concert.

    1. I agree. I think it is media based play. Why did Madonna agree to Saturday Night Live with Gag back in 2010? As far as being "allowed" to sing BTW, Aren't artist free to sing only live whatever song there want without permission? Not certain, I've heard this before. Worth looking into? Eh, not so much...

    2. If a song is performed, the artist who wrote the song is entitled to performance royalties. So basically Madonna is putting money in Gaga's pocket for the sake of stirring shit up. Small price to pay for media attention. It's all good. It's just pop music.

    3. Who gives a fuck anymore.....? This whole GaGa thing is annoying me now, They both need to give it a break, GaGa has absolutely no individuality or originality in anything she does in performance or song and Madonna needs to become a little more mysterious like she used to be, when she didn't give a fuck whether some dick head was copying everything she did or post a 10 minute false groveling apology because she can't make it to some half arse fans country on a world tour

  13. you can cover any song and not pay royalties- its all part of the musicians union socan. Madonna would have to exlude the song when she releases her tour on disc/blue- what have you. Unless of course gaga and her team say yes. You can be any band in any shitty club and cover any song- as long as not releasing it for money

  14. Everytime a beatles song is covered micahel jackson's estate is paid royalties. He owned the lyrics. Its the reason why he bought them, because "Yesterday" is the most covered song. The song was ranking $100,000 a year at the time when he bought the rights.
