  2. GOD, I WISH! I found it while reading about all the NYC clubs in the early 80's. They had photos of her (which I had seen before right here on Pud's blog) and then they had this flyer. They also had flyers from Danceteria but again, I had already seen them here. I go through obsessions about certain periods of Madonna's career and 1980-1984 is my current obsession. I love the time period, the music, the beginning of this most incredible career...I love it all!!!

Hey Pud, I know we have some pics of her at The Funhouse...I wish I knew if any of those pics were from this event. I LOVE IT!

  3. Wow! What a great find! Thanks Buster!

I love how it says "Physical Attraction" as if that was her biggest hit. Heh.

Also, what's with ladies getting in for free? Sexism! :P

  4. LOL. Physical Attraction wasnt even a proper single. This is a reminder to us how her songs were big hits in the clubs first. :) good times!

  6. Keep in mind guys...this was May 1983, her debut album wasn't released until late July (2 months later) so I'm sure all people knew at the time was Everybody and Physical Attraction. Wasn't Physical Attraction a promo only single before the proper release of Everybody in October?

  10. I wonder if anyone else has noticed the grammatical error. Should it not read as "Jellybean cordially invites YOU to an evening of serious partying"?
    Loving it, though!!!

  11. @Tony, I think in some countries, it was released as a double A side but I'm not sure about the U.S. The copy I have says "Slow Side" and "Fast Side." Is that a double A side? Its interesting they did that. Either way, I don't think it is considered a "proper" single in the U.S. according to Billboard. Remember the whole "Into The Groove" B side deal?

  12. @buster, i am not sure but i am pretty sure that PA is considered a proper single as it was a double A-side here in the US. could be worng, of course.

  13. @Tony, I could be wrong too. I can't quite remember. I don't think Physical Attraction ever charted on Billboard and I know it has to be a proper single to chart on Billboard. Who knows! Maybe Pud can solve this - I appreciate his mental database!
