nicolas - i have my original copy from '84 - mint. its in plastic - the holy madonna bible!!! haha!
jimmy, i will prob never scan it because its so delicate. all the mags ive scanned for here take a beating in the binding and shyt but this one is too precious.
the old rolling stones were printed on a newspaper like paper. in 85 they changed over to a more conventional magazine glossy like cover but in '84 it was still that newspaper like cover that could tear and wrinkle very easily. xo
I know! Awful paper. If it gets a bit rubbed it kind of loses tiny hairs of "color" (does that make any sense?? LOL). I have mine in plastic as well. It breaks my "no shipping label" rule but this is special so I made an exception. The 1985 issue with Roberta is slightly better quality. Love the "fashion" spread in that mag. So sexy! ♥
totally understand about 'the hairs of color'! but i actually love/prefer the '84 cover paper because of its delicacy. thank god i bought mine at a newsstand so i dont have the shipping label. xo
Is it even possible to find this magazine without an AWFUL shipping label????
ReplyDeleteWhen are you going to post the Rollingstone article?
