Madonna - mixmag - March 2000

The only photographs that Dah Len took of Madonna that I like appeared in mixmag. Plus this is a great interview and article.

  1. Love this article. I agree though, WHY did she work with Dah Len so much in 1999-2000? His shots, although beautiful, were very plain and boring, expecially the pink background/Farrah Fawcet hair shots... driving licence shots, anyone?

  3. I loved this cover. I remember4 it came with a free CD. She looked so sexy and the look was a great post 'Ray of Light' look.

I wished she would have kept this hair colour for the 'Music' album instead of the bleach blond messy, frizy, wavy look. This hair colour on her suits her well.

Considering there were so many outakes from this session, Im surprised they only used two pictures. Same goes for the 2008's 'Interview' and 'Dazed and Confused' covers. So many outtakes but no pic in the magazine itself. Hummm....

Anyways take the Madonna poll at:

  5. Same goes for the Gilles Bensimon shoot. He and Dah Len never truly captured the essence of Madonna.

  6. Great interview. Pud, do you have the Q Magazine interview from 1991? I've never read that one.

  7. I liked Dah's white shirt shots...she looked hot as hell in those. Pink background were boring.
