  1. I had great expectations about this video. But i'm desperate. She had to use the original version instead of the Benny Benasi mix. It was just OFF! Yuck... Her moves too were bad. But her look was amazing. Let's hope that was the last flop in her career...

  2. even if it was a flop or not, who cares? madonna always had her ups and downs, so what? actually a flop makes a next big hit to look bigger. besides madonna knows how to handle a huge success and a fail as well! she is a media manipulator as we all know! and M knows how to turn a "flop" into an advantage for her and her career! btw i love these photos, especially the second one!

  3. I like it enough but it was a disappointment. If you forget GHV2 (I try to) the last first single from a greatest hits was Justify My Love which was brilliant and innovative in so many ways. And I much prefer the outtake look to what she ended up with (Joan Rivers anyone?). I do love some of the Oakenfold remixes though - Sorry was brilliant.

  5. I think some where along the way madonnas tram decided there was no money in videos and they were not as needed- i found this with a lot fo artists actually. Gone was the big budget videos- mostly i think because people weren't buying music so there was less money to spend on big videos. On the plus this ushered in some great indie videos people made with handy cams that were so creative. Now all of a sudden people are spending more on videos because of product placement.-plenty of fish, cell phones and so on. So i'm hoping madonna who has a lot of money will see a light and think I'm going to go back and make some amazing videos that cost money. I have a feeling now that gaga is stealing her thunder and bringing the video back madonna will want to show everyone she invented the art of epic videos.

  6. @ KONSTANTINE

Let's hope what you said is true.

"I have a feeling now that gaga is stealing her thunder and bringing the video back Madonna will want to show everyone she invented the art of epic videos".

The Celebration was horrid. She looked like a Joan Rivers drag queen. They really should have had 2 videos, one with the remix and the original. It would have gotten more exposure that way.

I never understood why she would not incorporate some of the dance moves from her tours in this video, being she just came off of tour. Same thing for the 'Jump' video...the ‘Celebration’ video looks like a part 2. Cheap!

I have to agree. Although I like the song, it sounded very dated and the video was just not worth making. I still await the next Madonna!

  9. Agreed with @madonnablog,"jump" has to be one of her worst videos ever and "celebration" is just shit. I just hope next era she comes so strong with amazing videos like before.

  10. i actually really enjoy the music video for "jump," despite it being mostly despised by a majority of madonna fans. i love the outdoor scenes with cloud and the parkours, and i think the studio shots of madonna, dressed as mello from death note, are hilarious because they seem very tongue-in-cheek to me. and some of those dance moves remind me of the choreography from holiday and those early track date performances.

  11. I have to say this song has REALLY grown on me, I listen to it all the time. Don't know what it is, but I love it.

The video is so-so, far too quick-cut editing for my liking. Plus the self groping and wall humping is slightly embarassing.

  12. I LOVE MADONNA SO VERY MUCH. But in spite of I don't love Gaga I have to recognize that she, or somebody for her, is making amazing videos, videos wich tell stories and are so attractive to everyones view. Sometimes it seemed that M should come back. One of the first step would be leaving Steven Klein. Just have a look to the Interview shoots to see the difference. It's just an opinion. It won't change the strong feelings that I have to her, the soundtrack of my life.

  13. The crazy thing is, Madonna still knows how and is willing to make epic music videos... The only problem being she is only interested in turning them into tour backdrops!

  14. Diegobuenosaires, on my opinion, the only good gaga videos are pokerface, paparazzi and telephone. all the others are so boring!
mg24 i agree with you about the tour backdrops. they are so artistic!

  15. Absolutelly right! Backdrops should be definitelly as extras in dvd and (oh please, god!) in bluray editions.

  16. Jump was a great video and suited the song perfectly. M also looked hot in it.

The video Celebration kinda sucks, but thankfully the song is pure and classic Madonna.

If you don't like Celebration, you cant possibly like songs like Into the Groove or Dress You Up. Same classic style.

  17. the bennassi remix saved an otherwise crap song. the original sounded so dated to me. weak. she had so much going on at the time and she's been doing this all for so long that i guess its hard to be inspired after a while. this is when you stop and take a break. so im glad to see she has done that musically.
