I remember walking in the subway and passing this magazine. It was literally staring at me as I walked and I was drawn to it immediately. I had no idea it was Madonna until I got closer. It was such an amazing moment as a Madonna fan.
No joke...I had the same experience. I was totally drawn to the cover not knowing who it was and then I read 'Madonna In Motion'. This was back in 1994, before the internet let us know when to excpect magazine covers from M. This was a beautiful cover, article and pictures. Love the outtakes as well! Thx PUD!
Definitely one of my favourite Maodnna photo shoots of all time - but there's so many .
This one is awesome.
Anyone who loves these btw should check out the GORGEOUS coffee table book of this shoot - "Madonna by Anne Bleuzen" which features all of these amazing Lindbergh photos (and more of them!) plus the Helmut Newton VF 1990 shoot and Wayne Maser 1994 shoot.
Forget all the crappy fan-made books that are being touted everywhere these days - go hunt out the Anne Bleuzen book!
"her presence was always felt," "she was small and big at the same time," "she was a goddess. a warrior, a survivor." hmmm... M might as well have been describing herself, not Graham. I wonder if Martha instantly became M's blueprint of the icon/artist/tyrant she would become.
