Jeri Heiden Mock Ups for True Blue Album

Evidently there is a design book out that's showing some of art director Jeri Heiden's True Blue mock ups. A friend sent me these photos with no information.

Visit MadonnaTribe for more information plus interview with Jeri from 2006.

  1. WOW! Really amazing. Love that first one. She is a true blue goddess indeed!

  2. I remember when the album came out in stores (LP), it did just have a sticker on it with the name of the album, her name and a list of some featured songs. I read somewhere that it was decided she was so famous at the time, they didn't need to put her name on it, which was very true. The original U.S. release of the CD doesn't have her name or any type on it too. It was strange when I saw the album in Greece for the first time with the name and title printed on it, but that's because in Europe (at least Greece that I know of) never wrapped/sealed their LPs in plastic or put stickers on them. Everything is printed on to save money.

  3. Jeri is an amazing designer/art director... I think her strongest work for M was Like A Prayer... that logo she farmed-ou to Margo Chase just blew my mind. I also loved The Immaculate Collection, which Jeri designed.

  4. The only album Jeri did that I didn't like was the Immaculate Collection. Ugh! No photo of Madonna, ugly big logo? Skip.
