the guy they show at the funeral - i dont think its him. they show chris ciccone on ABC news as anthony, as well. there is no research required in journalism today.
ok, she does have a big family. I remember they interviewed one of her brothers (not chris), I think it was Marty or Tony. She even mention his name in the doc. I have to watch it again. I feel I need to do my own research.
but here is the picture i'm talking about, the caption says, "anthony cicccone". http://www.itssohollywood.com/tough-times-for-madonnas-brother/anthony-ciccone-pictured-at-his-grandmothers-funeral-in-march/
I have also looked a younger picture of him and they look the same. He looks nothing like the man in the bread. Unless alot has changed since march.
Madonna had to fend for herself when she was barely a woman back when she first arrived in NYC. If she can do it, her brother can do it. You can lead a horse to water...Her brother is a grown man. And hello! He was fired from the FAMILY Vineyard. I think her dad is trying to show some tough love. Stop your bitchin' Anthony. Take some responsibility for your actions.
Madonna helped him several times and finaly gave up because he was only wanting money from her. He never wanted to do something on his own except being an addict.
First off, I don't agree with the notion that because Madonna has the will and ambition of a lion, that someone else is expected to have the same thing. Not all of us are cut from the same branch, so to speak, so it's ridiculous to expect one person to have the might of another. Totally absurd.
However, he has a self-admitted drug and alcohol problem, and it doesn't matter how many rehab sessions you're willing to offer and pay for someone. If they don't want help, rehab isn't going to do anything for them. His statements are contradictions upon themselves. He wants help, but he doesn't want it. He feels he should be getting more support from his family, but he doesn't want their support. He wants understanding, but should have the right to be a drug/alcohol addict if he wants to. All typical signs of an addict.
It's ultimately his life. If he wants to change it, then he can utilize his family to help support him during the process. Sobriety is not easy, as I personally know. But at the end of the day, you need to want it. And he obviously doesn't want it.
So, it is what it is. I don't think Madonna is the cold-hearted bitch the press is making her out to be. He even admitted here she offered rehab for him. But he didn't want it. Well then my friend, if you don't want help, fair enough. But don't go blaming your family for not supporting you.
It's a good quote. Nicely put I thought ;)
ReplyDeletePoor Anthony. He was a good look chap, and now he's not.
Madonnas has always been a cunt! Madonna = Cunt! Thats why love her!
ReplyDeleteCUNTY STAR!!!
Madonna still had that huge mole at 16? I thought it was removed when she was a baby?? Wow!
ReplyDeleteLol @ Tony
ReplyDeleteI read the whole interview and he does sound like a classic addict. Lots of issues in that family.
She looked so much older than 16 in the picture. She had a very exotic look to her. So many girls in high school must have envied her.
ReplyDeleteps: I still don't think that's her brother. They have a picture of him at their grandmother's funeral. He looks nothing like this guy.

ReplyDeleteTwo comments having now watching the video:
ReplyDelete1) The brother is obviously a total prick.
2) I love the fact that she signed the Like a Virgin album without hesitating.
I feel sorry for Madonna over this whole thing. He's a big boy now and sections of the media are trying to hold her accountable.
That little television quip is ridiculous. Oh Madonna has no time to help her loser ass brother. Fuck off.
