  3. Ah, vintage, stunning look and image and attitude right here circa SEX. Great pic, the provocateur of sex meets the doctor of sex. Yep, Gaultier Sept 92, topless on the catwalk, beginning of the Sex/Erotica onslaught. Madonna knows the appropriate time and place to share her beautiful breasts with the world and would never refer to it as a 'malfunction' lol

  4. Ha! Dr. Ruth! I used to listen to her show on Sunday nights on some station back in the day. The Dr. meets the Queen of SEX and LIFE!

  5. If Madonna cut her hair short now she'd look like Dr Ruth

  6. Agree with tony. She looks exactly like a clown. Come on guys! I'm a diehard fan of her like you all. Yet i accept the truth that she looks terrible in this look.

    3. Agreed @'evrybdygegeget'. My truth is also that this is one of her fiercest looks - loved the no-eyebrows chic, extreme beauty of this period. Anyone who thinks she looks like a clown here nows very little about fashion and style, but we can clearly see that from their default pics, or lack of.

    1. I'm 36. I remember this vividly. Hair bands were over. Nirvana and Pearl Jam had taken over the world. Nobody gave a shit about pop music but they still gave a shit about Madonna. The SEX era was the perfect thing to coincide with what was happening in the music industry at the time.

    2. exactly. and in some respects sex/erotica was madonna's 'grunge', except of course that she kept the theatre.

    3. At you Steveaw, lager, and evrybdygeget,
Music needed a massive talk to, and I was very happy for the Nirvana experience. The rest of the grunge shit was regurgitate. But, Madonna did keep her own and like "grunge" show a grittier side of life with Erotica and Sex. It was pop outside the comfort zone and it was brilliant!

      cheers to all of you!

    4. I am 33 and LOVE the Erotica era. The album is my second favorite M album. This clown look was not used during Erotica. For one appearance and the awful Deeper & Deeper single art.

      There is nothing to get.

  13. too bad, the underwear line FU e=fu8 Underwear wasn't around back in 1992, 1993. Both women would have picked up on it & insisted that their boy toys wear it!!
