You can treat is as you want. This is the official setlist, like it or not:
Religious Intro Girl Gone Wild Revolver Gang Bang Papa Don't Preach Hung Up I Don't Give A Best Friend (Interlude) Express Yourself (mixed with Born This Way, with She's Not Me playing at the end) Give Me All Your Luvin' Turn Up The Radio Open Your Heart Masterpiece Jusify My Love (interlude - new Madonna footage) Vogue Candy Shop Human Nature Like A Virgin Nobody Knows Me (interlude - new Madonna footage) I'm Addicted I'm A Sinner Like A Prayer Celebration
I'm absolutely watching everything I can until then (October). To me it's not about being surprised; it's about being in the same room as Madonna, breathing the same air and being inspired by her spirit, her tirelessness, her magnetism. Of course I'm not saying that has to be everyone's experience, but it is mine.
I watched Who's That Girl, Blonde Ambition, Girlie Show, Confessions, ReInvestion, Sticky & Sweet and various live TV perfomances this past weekend and it was all too good!
haha, I was thinking about doing that! I probably should.
As for TV performances, any awesome ones? Besides:
- Hollywood live (in some UK show, I think) - Vogue (MTV Awards) - Like a Virgin (MTV Awards) - Hung Up (Grammy's) - Bad Girl (Saturday Night Live) - Runaway Lover and Impressive Instant (Brixton Academy) - Fever (in that late night show where she has bangs and red hair) - Drowned World (I think in French TV)
Tony, I don't think I ever complained about album MDNA, other than the poor promotion of it. I'm annoyed that the album did not do so well as I thought it would. I was hoping for magazine covers, talk shows and maybe a promo tour like she had done in the past.
I got the feeling, after the killer Super Bowl performance, that this might have been an exciting era like how the 'Like a Prayer/Blond Ambition' era was for me when I was 13. I was super hyped for the promotion, but alas her team went in a different direction. You live, you learn
I do think the album is a brilliant. It is like a mix of all her albums rolled into one. For example, 'Superstar' has the warmth of 'Cherish'. 'Girl Gone Wild' has the amazing production value of 'Vogue'. 'Love Spent' is melodically like 'Hung Up' and 'Forbidden Love', while 'I'm Addicted' has the same thumping bass feeling of 'Impressive Instant'. I would be surprised if Madonna didn't perform 'Beautiful Stranger' on tour this time round to complement 'Im a Sinner' which would be a perfect blend.
Anyways, I can go on and on about MDNA, but I think I am afraid to, as you seem to pick on everyone who has an opinion. It's kinda lame and it's really not that serious to get that aggravated over. I can feel you burning up as you read this right now....
And just so everyone here knows what I am talking about, the version of Like a Virgin that Madonna is doing is terrible (in my opinion). It is being sung as a ballad over 'Evgeni's Waltz' from the W.E. score.
Where Life Begins? You mean - giving us die hard fans one single silly obscure amazing song we would love to see live before she quits? You're crazy! ;)
Sounds great except Candy Shop.WTF? And I would prefer a mix of Holiday with Celebration to close the show. I'll go get a drink or piss when she does Candy shop.
But if it's mixed with Erotica... could be interesting? Except for the turkish delight lyrics (which ranks among her worst ever, and that's saying something!) the other lines could actually *work* if sung/spoken with her signature cognac voice!
If it's mixed with silly 60s music... well, we'll have to wait and see.
I'm very intrigued that she wouldn't do Give it 2 me or Miles Away and choose Candy Shop as the only song from that CD. Gotta trust that it's because someone did a great job remixing it.
Yes I am! Let the sobbing, crying and tears begin! Madonna is usually at her absolute best in her sad songs! Bring it on Madge!
ReplyDeleteFUCK YEAH! Can't wait for the set list! And I am looking forward to watching every video released hi or low quality! Too much fun!
ReplyDeleteI ALSO LOVE THAT IT IS A LITTLE OVER A WEEK AWAY AND WE HAVE NO CLUE ON SONGS, HAIR, COSTUMES ECT. VERY EXCITING!
DeleteThe setlist was posted weeks ago. We know the songs :)
DeleteNo Tonyta... the SUPPOSED set list was posted weeks ago.
DeleteRemember that MTV and those other "reliable" sources all got their news from other fan-sites.

DeleteClue: even if that set list is right, as of now, it has not been "officially" released. So, even IF it WERE correct, it is not OFFICIAL as we speak.
Sorry, call it what you want, but these are the songs being performed on the MDNA tour.
DeleteYes, tonite I will watch The Virgin Tour on LD...fingers crossed for Physical Attraction on MDNA...

ReplyDeleteCheck out an unreleased track from MDNA, that was given to Chris Brown by William Orbit.

Wish Madonna would have recorded this. :(
lol why? So you could complain about it like you complain about the rest of MDNA?
Deleteplease.
if this song was on the new album, you would be complaining about it.
Tony, I don't think I ever complained about album MDNA, other than the poor promotion of it. I'm annoyed that the album did not do so well as I thought it would. I was hoping for magazine covers, talk shows and maybe a promo tour like she had done in the past.

ReplyDeleteSome might like it, but way to slow for me taste.
So what IS the final setlist?
DeleteTony, stop acting as if you were the one who "reveals" things.
DeleteThe rumored Like a Virgin/Evgeni's Waltz was on every website.
So cut the crap, "and just so everyone here knows what I am talking about"... yeah, we know, we all read the same websites you do.
I'm still waiting for you to truly break news... before anybody else. Hasn't happened yet, so cut the crap.
So funny...lol
DeleteUm, what websites? I have the fucking track, ask Pud, you tossers.
DeletePoor things. Lolz
And i do 'reveal' things all the time. Try going by your real name and stop hiding behind weird blog names and made up names.
DeleteI'm sorry neither of you have contacts, but don't hate on those of us who do :)
Can't wait for the tour to start, let's see if Tonyta, the man with CONTACTS, is right.
DeleteHope you are, honey... LOL
Do not mess with the man with the contacts, LOL.
LOL like i described Bang Bang MONTHS before it leaked here LOL how i described the JML interlude for the new tour in detail LOL

ReplyDeleteI'm ok with the set list except Human Nature....hmmmm maybe Burning Up or Where Life Begins would have been a better fit.
ReplyDeleteWhere Life Begins? You mean - giving us die hard fans one single silly obscure amazing song we would love to see live before she quits? You're crazy! ;)
ReplyDeleteDon't you think?
ReplyDeleteSounds great except Candy Shop.WTF? And I would prefer a mix of Holiday with Celebration to close the show. I'll go get a drink or piss when she does Candy shop.
