I am almost speechless. Almost. My God, this woman still stirs so many emotions within me. Yes, some of it is nostalgia but mostly it's because I admire her so much. She opened my eyes to so much with what she said and what she did. Her work made me look in to art, in to literature and other music. Her music helped me though difficult times, happy times, experimental times... Her voice was there telling how it was normal to be gay. She stood up and wasn't (openly) afraid to stand up and challenge and push. She wondered if she would live to tell. So did I. And we both have.
I will always love this mixed in with oh father from blonde ambition.
definately. that whole section of the show is perfection.
Brother of Dita, I agree with you 150%! Madonn has helped through the happy and sad, the triumphant and difficult. When I First heard Live to Tell, I simply Cried! I was Beside myself because I didn't know what I was going to do with my Rabbit Life. Lady Madxonna showed me a way in and a way out-just to tell me there is hope for an outsider like me. With Live to Tell, Madonna has triumphed. Her Music has become the soundtrack to my life-Madonna taught me to never give up, to Take a Bow, to look for the Rain and to ultimately be a Ray of Light and a Masterpiece. Because of her songs, Madonna has taught me to Turn Up the Radio. When I Hear Live to Tell, I am In a Zone-of love, forgiveness and strength. Nothing Fails-I Have climbed the Tree of Life because of Live to Tell. Thank you Madonna for Living to Tell with me and enriching my Life!
Not a personal favorite, but definitely one of her best!
