  1. I read this when my issue arrived a few days ago. Quite surprised they gave her a good reviews, as most 'journalists' these days trash something without even seeing it or because they keep TRYING to make Lady Goober the next big thing.

    Ain't happenin'. lol.

  7. Puddy, you are by far the ultimate Madonna fan. You should be proudly perched at the foot of her throne. I have un petite question that has nothing to do with this post.(forgive me)But I know only you can answer this. In Truth or Dare, what on earth does she say when she answers the phone at Chanel? Something about Gaultier?? This has plagued me for a good 15 plus years. Please help my dear.

    1. Is it something like *listen Gaultier, I told you I'd buy the dress??

    2. I could only find this: "Hello. Gautier, listen, I told you.

      Hi. Who's this? I'm fine.

      Can I help you?

Would you like anyone in particular?

      What's your name?

      Chanelta?

Chanelta needs a salesgirl downstairs now.

      Bye-bye. Thank you."

    2. i think american life is probably my least fav tied with music. neither are bad, just my least fvs.

      MDNA is great.

  9. I really like MDNA. I think the wrong singles were released to promote it. GMAYL should have been left off or been a bonus track.

Love Spent, I'm a Sinner or TUTR would have been good first singles.

I agree, Music and American Life are the least listen to albums for me by Madge.

  10. GMAYL was great. Top 10 in the US, so it was a big hit and a perfect single choice for the superbowl with the cheerleader chants. Sorry for those who cannot still grasp it WAS a hit.

    1. Exactly! People like to reinvent history, and pretend GMAYL was some type of career killing track, when it was a top 10 U.S hit, which is an incredible feat at her age. I absolutely love the song, and so does Madonna obviously. It's such a fun, kitchy pop song. The haters (whiners) need to get over it.

    2. Exactly. The track hitting the top 10 in the US is something big for anyone, let alone someone madonna's age.

Great song? No. Bad song?? Nope. Do a lot of fans dislike the song therefore they swear it wasn't a hit? Yup.

      lolzZz...

    3. I'm gonna be debbie-downer and say what really happened with GMAYL. Although I like the song, it was a promo deal with Clear Channel and radio stations to promote the StupidBowl halftime show. ALL top 40 CC stations were required to play GMAYL every hour at the top of the hour from Friday until the time of the game on Sunday. That required radio play got the song to the top 10. We all know that radio play is all that counts with the charts anymore. And what REALLY pissed me off is that everytime it was played, the DJ's had nothing good to say about the song at all. Fuck em all. So the song was a "hit" by proxy. Sucks, but that's what pop radio is about these days. Anyone else disgusted that "Lil Wayne" has now racked up more songs in the hot 100 than ELVIS? Makes no fucking sense. Give me a REAL Hot 100 again.

    4. Nah, it was #2 on itunes for a couple of days. Itunes sales also play a big role in the charting on the hot 100. ;)

  11. So what if it was payola? It's payola for everyone. I'm glad Interscope paid for play. WB would have never done that, and the song would have probably peaked at #50, and plummeted off the chart the next week. GMAYL isn't the greatest song of her career, but it's fun, catchy, and did what it was supposed to do. The days of the real hot 100 died years ago. It aint coming back unfortunately.
