Legendary Rock Photographer - Mick Rock 'Exposed' Book - a Film by Dean Holtermann

Rock 'n Roll photographer Mick Rock has a book out called 'Exposed' that features that fantastic 1980 photo of Madonna that most fans saw for the first time on Behind the Music in 1998. A must have. Here is a piece by Dean Holtermann 'narrated and flipped through' by Mick Rock himself. The book has previously unreleased photos of Madonna, David Bowie, Blondie, Iggy Pop, LCD Soundsystem, Eugene from Gogol Bordello, and heaps of others. Madonna is around 01:17.

The power of sepia - an expert's take on that Madonna image


Madonna has released an image of herself holding Mercy, the Malawian baby she hopes to adopt. It's in sepia. Why?

Choosing sepia is all to do with trying to make the image look romantic and idealistic. It's sort of a soft version of propaganda.
