Madonna meets with Tzipi Livni

Opposition Chairwoman Tzipi Livni met with pop star Madonna for two and a half hours on Monday night, at a restaurant in Tel Aviv.

Livni said the meeting was excellent and that she was very impressed by the singer. She added that Madonna had invited her and her husband to be her personal guests at her Tel Aviv concert.

Madonna "a crypto-Satanist"

A group of Polish nationalists have accused Madonna of being "a crypto-Satanist" over this weekend's concert in Warsaw.

Her first ever show in the county takes place on Saturday, when Christians mark the Virgin Mary's ascension to heaven.

Some locals had threatened to boycott the gig but called the protests off over fears it could inspire "riots".

"Madonna specialises in offending religious feelings...It is possible to suspect her of being a crypto-Satanist", he said.

"Madonna sneers at Jesus Christ, the symbol of the cross and all Christians", commented Zygmunt Wrzodak, a former member of the Polish parliament.
