Auction: Early Madonna Demo Cassette Recording went for $6,400.00 !!!
…Another unique item is a demo tape an unknown performer named Madonna made in 1979 to send to record companies in an attempt to get a recording contract. Accompanied by an acoustic guitar, it’s just Madonna, her music unadorned by post-production magic and elaborate orchestration. The songs on the tape include “All My Love,” “Hear Me” (a song that evolved into “Shine a Light”), “Simon Says” (which became the familiar “Love Express”) and “Little Lost Boy.”
estimate was $1,000.00 - $2,000.00 and sold for $6,400.00.

Borderline - When 'The Voice' merged with 'The Face'.

She had already bewitched me with 'the voice'. Then one day about 6 months in and a few magazine clippings later, while getting ready for school, I heard Borderline playing on MTV - I had been waiting forever. No longer was it just that voice from the heavens above - now I saw her in motion and it couldn't have been any more glorious.
...Behind the Music didn't do their research, Borderline was shot in Los Angeles but nevertheless..."I knew we were going to have a great video, all I had to do was shoot her face."

I've had enough of these awful comparisons. I must speak.
Before we even saw Madonna, she was sex. A song beckoning people to the dance floor, Everybody and even Holiday with all her oooh yeah's sounded like a Dirty Blue Movie. Madonna's voice, energy, face, body, movement - all sex.
It's appalling to even compare the two.
Sorry Joanne. You can spread your vagina lips from coast to coast, LA to Chicago, and it will still be the exact opposite of sex.
So all you Homo-Gagas can glow on, but I'll stick to my chick. cheers.
