Ain't No Big Deal. 2.5 Million Dollars for Madonna's 'Personal Diaries'? ***UPDATE journals Yanked off EBAY

So, as most of you probably know by now, some dude bought some boxes at an auction that belonged to Madonna's ex-assistant Melissa Crow filled with some cool photos, the 1990 birthday poem and other trinkets, blah blah blah. The Ebay seller's big treasures are the legendary $50.00 Tower Records gift card from or to brother Christopher (I can't really figure that one out) and Madonna's Personal Daily Journals 17 pcs Lot '88-'92 that he's selling for the bargain 2.5 million dollars!!! As it turns out, these ARE NOT Madonna's personal diaries but rather her lists for her assistant.

As comforting as it sounds, my idea of crawling into bed with a good book never really included an itemized to do list written out for Madonna's assistant. Looks like I won't have to take out that 2.5 million dollar loan, after all. Whew! I can also save that (currently) $52.11 on THIS 'autographed congratulations card' since it's a card called into a florist and signed by some sales-girl.

Anyway, good luck and whoever comes out the happy winner, email me the Cliff Notes version of the 4 years and 17 notebooks worth of laundry and grocery lists for her assistant to take care of. Or better yet, maybe you can tell me the brand of popcorn she had Melissa buy for the this shoot?
Thanks mnation09 for update info.

Even More on the Melissa Crow and Madonna EBAY Scandal
I don't have a storage space, so I don't know, but aren't you informed when your space is going up for auction? Don't you sign your life away when you get one and it clearly states if you miss [X] amount of payments the content then becomes theirs and goes up for auction? The stupidity and neglect factor is enormous.

This is directly from the buyers mouth - Jack. Doesn't exactly put little Missy Crow in the best light:

Melissa Crowe and the Madonna EBAY scandal

From Madonnatribe.com:
Yesterday we ran a story about private items that belonged to Madonna's former assistant Melissa Crow being put up on Ebay by a seller who had purchased the boxes of personal photos, polaroids, video, diaries, autographed items from a moving company.
Today MadonnaTribe.com has been informed that Melissa is actually shocked to know some personal items that belonged to her are up for sale and she is indeed very upset by this situation and is trying to find a way to prevent the sale of these personal items.
What bothers Melissa the most is that some fans on the various forums where this story is being monitored and discussed (on our board as well) may have the impression she is indeed the one putting these items up for auction on Ebay and trying to cash on Madonna's fame. MadonnaTribe can deny this is the case. We have heard that Melissa Crow wants fans to clearly understand that she is NOT behind this Ebay auction and that she is doing anything to get the items back into her possession. She is also kindly asking people not to bid on the items.

I knew Sweet Melly Mel couldn't be behind this.

Jonathan Ross Interview 1992

Madonna sat with Jonathan Ross in 1992 to promote her Erotica album and the Sex book. She touches on many subjects here. Her thoughts on AIDS, art, sex, fame, monogamy, and life. Her disgust with homophobia and ageism. Trailblazing through, at the pinnacle of the fame she implemented and today others aspire to, she had no qualms about speaking truth that could have been detrimental to her career but she didn't care. The Goddess spoke like no other before her. Never one to mince words, Madonna let it rip and as far as looks go, she was sock'n it, do'n it - eat your heart out, Marlene. The entire unedited interview can be viewed after the jump:

Videos That Rocked The World: The 'Citizen Kane' of music videos - Like a Prayer.

There was a written piece on her in the now defunct Fame magazine in late 1988 written by novelist Harry Crews, and it was in there that she dropped the name of her new album, Like a Prayer. I remember thinking, Is she kidding? Like a Virgin, Like a Prayer? After hearing her discontentment with music and video, I was kind of like, On no, its going to be horrible. She's over music and over videos and the last taste in our mouth was the Who's That Girl video. Although that is one of my favorite Madonna looks, it is, in my opinion, one of her worst videos. But then about 6 months later the Like a Prayer song and video were released and my initial thoughts were immediately eradicated. Obviously. She came back with a vengeance and with one of the greatest songs ever written and recorded in the history of popular music and with a video that put all others to shame. The greatest and most controversial video ever made. The Citizen Kane of music videos. Never doubt the woman.
Here is the program Videos that Rocked the World from 2007 - which discusses in length not only the brilliant video but also the Pepsi commercial and all the influence and controversy it caused. With commentaries from the video's director - the brilliant Mary Lambert, producer Sharon Oreck, co-star Leon Robinson, the awful, back stabbing horrible and hypocritical Niki Harris, cinematographer Steve Poster and a slew of others.
So without further ado here is the program, Videos That Rocked the World, analyzing the greatest video ever made, Like a Prayer.

Bad Girl - Unseen Video Footage

Joni Mitchell opens that hole she calls a mouth again...

Lezbatonical clits across America were flittering about.

Long before Sandra Bernhard entered Madonna's universe in 1988, lesbian rumors about her had been around ever since first manager Camille Barbone opened that hole she calls a mouth, starting around 1985. She would tell anyone that would listen about Angie Smit. Angie was the bass player in The Breakfast Club, fellow dancer and also Madonna's co-star in A Certain Sacrifice. Carpet cleaner Camille's version went something like this: Madonna and Angie would lure men into their web, fool around with each other and throw the men away without doing them any 'favors'. Therefore teasing and emasculating them.

Fast forward to 1988 and Madonna and Sandra's legendary performance on David Letterman dressed as the Bobbsey Twins. Madonna was doing her run of Speed the Plow at the Royale Theatre on Broadway and Sandra was doing her one woman show, Without You, I'm Nothing at the Orpheum. While still married to Sean Penn, the lesbian rumors were in full swing. The tabloids had a field day with Madonna and Sandra (termed Gal Pals) for a healthy 4 years. They also nurtured these rumors on many occasions peaking publicly with the performance of Sonny and Cher's I Got You Babe on May 24, 1989 at the Don't Bungle the Jungle Benefit Concert. Their alleged affair went on until that fateful day when Madonna met Ingrid Casares at her New Years Eve Party closing 1991 (according to the National Enquirer article posted above). That story was so big back in the day and it's fascinating how years later an Enquirer story becomes fact.
Exit Bernhard, who to this day is still so jaded when it comes to Madonna (Without You, I'm Nothing is right), and enter Ingrid. For many years it looked as though Ingrid was Madonna's dagger husband. YouTube Madonna's interview with Charlie Rose on 60 minutes in 1999 and watch an unsatisfied Madonna moaning about not wanting to do the interview and Ingrid stepping in and demanding "You WILL do this interview!" Lezbatonical clits across America were flittering about.

Glee was Great. The Power of Madonna.

Glee. Glee. Glee. It's all I've been hearing about since October 2009 when Madonna gave them the rights to her catalog. Never heard of it prior and never saw the show until last night's episode The Power of Madonna and loved it. That's the way Madonna should be referred to all the time.
Jane Lynch as the Sue Sylvester character is everything! Her lines were great, her delivery was beyond brilliant. She's the star.
SLOPPY, FREAK SHOW, BABIES!!! SOMEWHERE IN THE ENGLISH COUNTRY SIDE, IN A STATELY MANOR HOME, MADONNA IS WEEPING.
Haha! I need a bullhorn. Whoever wrote it had all their shyt straight. The girl wanting to take the boy's virginity to get to the top of Sue's class was so clever. I always thought of losing my virginity as a career move - Madonna 1985. Sue wanting to send the kids to New York with 35 dollars in their pocket! And the way she said it - classic! Haha! It was brilliantly written.
As far as the songs, not at all my thing with those weird singing voices and my first reaction when each song started was 'WRONG' but then a minute in, it was alright. However, I enjoyed the Borderline/Open Your Heart bit - never thought of those two mixed and really how complementary they are to one another. Loved that Burning Up was in the background for one scene. Bizarrely, The cast album, Glee: The Power of Madonna lands at Number 1 next week according to Hits Daily Double. I guess people dig this shyt. Tuesdays episode attracted 13.5 million viewers and was so successful that word is they want to do a Part 2. I would definitely watch.
If you missed it, you can watch it HERE.

True Blue 45

Anyway, Ain't No Big Deal got its proper release here on the 45 and the masses got to hear the very Motown sounding song, a perfect companion piece to True Blue - which hearkened the Sixties girl groups. True Blue was the third single off Madonna's True Blue album and written and produced by Madonna and Stephen Bray. This glorious piece of retro sounding pop candy reached number 3 on the US Billboard charts and the top ten around the globe.
